By demanding Cruz jump into camp immediately for December under non-negotiable terms, Ryan creates an impossible bottleneck. If Cruz declines or asks to push the bout to early next year, Ryan gets to keep his bravado, declare he offered Cruz the shot, and safely pivot toward an easier touch like Angel Fierro while protecting his lucrative 2027 calendar.
