FORMER tennis star Anna Kournikova has been spotted looking every bit the ideal mum as she looks after her young children in Florida.

It is a rare public sighting of the retired tennis pro, who sparked concerns regarding her health in recent months following her appearance in a wheelchair and orthopaedic boot in January.

Kournikova traded glam for comfort in a relaxed outfit as she walked with her children, twins Nicholas and Lucy, 7, and Mary, 5.

The 44-year-old has not been seen regularly in public following the close of her sporting career.

Her most recent headlines came when she was spotted in a wheelchair and boot with her family at the beginning of the year.

But she now appears healthy enough to be out and about with her children once more.

The Russian once boasted a top tennis ranking in doubles, and peaked at number eight in the singles game in 2000.

She failed to win a singles Grand Slam title but came close when she reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon’s 1997 edition.

She did secure two doubles titles at the Australian Open in 1999 and 2002.

She retired at just 21 years old in 2003 due to injury issues.

Off the court, Kournikova became a model, and was as well known for her beauty as she was for her tennis prowess.

She was voted the world’s sexiest woman in 2002, beating names such as Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez.

US Open star, 30, reveals she charges $1000-a-DATE after starting OnlyFans

She doubled down by being voted the sexiest tennis player of all time in 2010.

But the unrelenting, constant scrutiny and attention certainly took its toll.

As did injuries – a left foot stress fracture, abductor issues and back problems.

So much so that Kournikova made the shock decision to retire in May 2003, aged just 21 and after just eight years as a pro.

She hung up her racquet with 16 doubles titles to her name – plus finals in the French Open doubles and both Wimbledon and US Open mixed.

Now she has settled down and started a family with superstar songwriter partner Enrique Iglesias.
