Ranking Los Angeles Chargers most difficult games in 2025 season

The Los Angeles Chargers have their marching orders. With the release of the schedule for the 2025 season, the team now knows when they will face the opponents on their schedule. Fans can now make their travel preparations or in-home party plans for the coming season.

The Chargers are coming off a successful 11-6 season and though it ended with a disappointing loss in the playoffs, the team will have its sights set high in 2025. In order to reach the promised land, they are going to have to find a way to win some tough games.

Looking over the schedule, these five games may loom largest in how this season goes for the team.

Los Angeles Chargers 5 most difficult games in 2025

5. Week 18 at Denver Broncos

The last game of the season often serves as a time when many teams, particularly those that have already clinched their playoff spot, begin to rest their players. But at least as of right now, that doesn’t seem like it will be the case when the Chargers wrap up the season against the Broncos in Denver.

Both of these teams could have a ton to play for in this game and though the Chargers won in Denver last year, it’s never an easy place to get a win.

4. Week 5 vs. Washington Commanders

When looking at the Chargers’ schedule, one of the key aspects is that the team faces the majority of its most difficult opponents at home. This early season battle against Jayden Daniels and the upstart Commanders should be a great litmus test for both teams.

3. Week 1 vs. Kansas City Chiefs (in Brazil)

It’s the first game of the season and though the schedule typically gets more difficult as it goes in the NFL, this is a tough way to start the season.

Though the game will take place in Brazil, it will count as a home game for the Chargers, meaning the Chiefs don’t have to come to SoFi Stadium this year unless it’s in the playoffs. It will also be the first time the Chiefs have taken the field since being utterly embarrassed in Super Bowl LIX, meaning they will be looking to take out months worth of frustration on the Chargers.

2. Week 14 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Will the Eagles still be as good in Week 14 as they were to close out last season, when they won the Super Bowl? All signs point to yes. This game will be on Monday Night Football and it’s one in which the Chargers will get a chance to show the world that they are for real.

1. Week 15 at Kansas City Chiefs

Easily the most difficult game on the schedule, the Chargers have to travel to Arrowhead Stadium on a short week to face the Chiefs for a 10:00 am PST kickoff. After facing the Eagles? That’s a tough task for any team.

But it’s the Chiefs. It’s Andy Reid. It’s Patrick Mahomes. It’s also a place where the Chargers have lost three times in a row and this one won’t be easy to get.
