The New York Rangers are continuing to spiral out of control.
Coming out of the holiday break, the Rangers suffered a 6-2 defeat against the Tampa Lightning as they’ve now lost 14 out of their last 18 games.
Despite already trading both Jacob Trouba and Kaapo Kakko, the Rangers are a team looking to make more moves.
“The trade freeze is lifted and teams are making moves. The Rangers, that’s a team everyone is watching,” Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman said.
Players including Chris Kreider, Ryan Lindgren and Will Borgen have all been the subject of trade rumors.
With New York dropping out of the playoff picture, Rangers general manager Chris Drury could look to take more of a seller’s approach in an attempt to accumulate assets.
