Last season, the Rangers set new franchise records for wins (55) and points (114), but they fell to the Panthers in the 2024 Eastern Conference Finals. Now, New York will look to finish the job and snap a Stanley Cup drought that dates back to 1994.

The Rangers have plenty of star power with top players like Artemi Panarin and Adam Fox returning for another year in the red, white and blue. If Alexis Lafreniere can take another step forward after the best season of his career, New York could be even more difficult to stop.

And, of course, there is Igor Shesterkin, one of the best goaltenders in the NHL. The 28-year-old struggled during the first half of the 2023-24 campaign, but he rediscovered his elite form and showed that he is still capable of single-handedly shutting down scoring chances.
