While the Las Vegas Raiders will be focused on bringing in outside help to bolster a roster that went a depressing 4-13 last season, the team also has some of its own pending free agents to try and keep.

Three of those players all come on the defensive side of the ball: linebacker Robert Spillane, safety Tre’von Moehrig and cornerback Nate Hobbs, all of whom were starters for multiple seasons in Las Vegas.

Considering their respective statuses as solid starters, it comes as no surprise that the trio is drawing “significant interest” from other teams, according to The Athletic’s Tashan Reed.

“In addition to safety Tre’von Moehrig, other teams across the NFL have expressed significant interest cornerback Nate Hobbs and linebacker Robert Spillane, per source,” Reed reported.

Reed is also hearing that Hobbs could garner a new contract that pays him around $30 million over three years. Seeing as how he’s one of the best slot cornerbacks on the open market, that’s a realistic number.

The good news is, the Raiders are loaded with cap space and can outbid any team that tries to take away their key defenders. But price will still matter, and having several teams in the mix could drive up the price, which may lead to the Raiders balking at re-signing one, two, or all three of the aforementioned players.

Las Vegas should have interest in re-signing all three. After all, Spillane, Moehrig and Hobbs have all developed into quality starters during their respective careers and can help keep continuity on Patrick Graham’s defense, something that will make star edge rusher Maxx Crosby happy, also.

But, as we know when it comes to free agency, anything can happen and more likely than not, the Raiders will lose at least one of the three. Spillane is probably the most expendable based on the overall value of the linebacker position and the veteran’s limitations in coverage.
