Premier League final day LIVE SCORES: Man City, Newcastle, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Forest battle for Champions League

Premier League final day

Good afternoon! Welcome along to a bumper SunSport live blog covering EVERYTHING from Matchday 38 of the Premier League.

A long, hard season comes to a close this afternoon with all 20 clubs in action at 4pm.

The title and relegation spots were decided a long time ago, with the triumphant Liverpool squad getting their hands on the trophy later today.

But the small matter of Champions League football next season gives us more than enough to talk about today, with five teams vying for three spots to join the Reds and Arsenal amongst Europe’s elite.

Nottingham Forest and Chelsea are two of those sides in contention and meet in the game of the day at the City Ground.

Manchester City are at Fulham, Newcastle host Everton and Aston Villa travel to a Manchester United side in disarray and still hurting from that performance in Bilbao.

Three points separate the five sides, with three locked together on 66 and Forest a point behind.

Meanwhile, Spurs will still be jubilant after European glory and a win over Brighton today could see them knock United down to 17th in the table, to add insult to injury.

Plenty of celebrations, goodbyes and – hopefully – goals to come!
