Pitbull Cruz warns: “Let’s see what AJ can withstand after Round 7”

Pitbull Cruz warns: “Let’s see what AJ can withstand after Round 7”

Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz says he wants to see what Anthony Joshua can withstand if his fight against Jake Paul makes it to the seventh and eighth rounds on December 19th.

Jake Paul’s Study Material

Cruz knows Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) is a devastating puncher early in his fight, but he knows he’s vulnerable if his opponents are still around. Jake (12-1, 7 KOs) has the power, and will have studied Joshua’s knockout losses to Daniel Dubois and Andy Ruiz Jr. to spot his weaknesses.

Crowd Won’t Save AJ This Time

Joshua vs. Paul will headline in an eight-round fight on Netflix at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. This won’t be a home country advantage for Joshua. So, if he starts struggling, he won’t have a pro-crowd to bring him back, as we saw in his fight against Wladimir Klitschko in April 2017 in London, England. That was against a 40-year-old Wladimir.

AJ was a goner in that fight after the sixth, but the pro-Joshua crowd helped cheer him back into the fight in the 11th round. That’s what saved him.

Seventh Round Territory

“People were saying it’s going to be a tough fight for both of them. Jake can be up to the task and see what happens with Joshua after six or seven rounds. It should be interesting,” said Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz to Fight Hub TV about Jake Paul, who could be a problem for Anthony Joshua after six or seven rounds in their fight on December 19th.

“Let’s see what Joshua can withstand if they get to the seventh and eighth round and on,” said Cruz.

Joshua could get in trouble early against Jake Paul. It doesn’t necessarily have to come in the seventh or eighth round. AJ was down in the 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th rounds in his last fight against Dubois on September 21, 2024. If Paul gets to Joshua early, he might stop him within two rounds.
