If a Stanley Cup contender wants a proven goal scorer ahead of the NHL’s trade deadline, they need not look any further than the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Richard Rakell is on the block, and the latest feeling is that he will be moved, according to Pittsburgh Hockey Now.
The only remaining question is where. The Toronto Maple Leafs, Dallas Stars, Winnipeg Jets and Los Angeles Kings are all options, according to PHN.

The Jets are in first place in the Western Conference, followed by the Stars. The Maple Leafs rank third in the East. The Kings sit solidly in seventh place in the West.
Rakell has scored 29 goals this season, most on the Penguins and most of anyone on The Athletic’s trade deadline big board.
The 31-year old Swede also has 24 assists, and is just a goal away from his third career 30-goal season. His contract runs through 2028 and has an average annual value of $5 million.
Pittsburgh has sputtered this season and currently sits in last place in the Eastern Conference’s Metropolitan Division.
Pittsburgh Hockey Now also predicts that the Penguins’ Noel Accairi and Matt Grzelcyk will be traded away.
When is the NHL trade deadline?
The NHL trade deadline is 3 p.m. ET on Friday, March 7.
