Pat McAfee is not happy with the current state of his former team.

The former Indianapolis Colts punter and current ESPN host hasn’t minced his words this season about the direction of the team.

For the majority of the second half of the season — really since Anthony Richardson’s infamous “tap out” — McAfee has been extremely critical of his former team.

It didn’t stop this week, either. McAfee eviscerated the Colts in a long post on X about the direction and culture of the team.

Then, on Thursday’s episode of “The Pat McAfee Show,” the former Pro Bowl punter demanded drastic action from the team, including the idea of trading away star running back Jonathan Taylor.

“Jonathan Taylor? Trade his f–king a— out of town,” McAfee said. “You got a second-round pick? Sweet. First would be better. We’ll do this for the good of the program.”

Though half-jokingly McAfee said he wishes the whole team could enter the transfer portal a la college football, he did state there were a handful of players he would want to keep around.

“I want (Michael) Pittman here. I want (Alec) Pierce here. Keep Quenton Nelson. Let’s keep DeForest Buckner. Let’s keep Kenny Moore, I like Kenny Moore,” McAfee said. “Other than that, see ya.”

Unless the Colts completely overhaul the current regime, it’s unlikely they will trade Taylor away. On top of that, there aren’t many teams looking to take on a running back with salary-cap hits of $15.6 million in each of the next two seasons.

Taylor earned his second career Pro Bowl nod in 2024, taking 269 carries for 1,254 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns while adding 17 receptions for 133 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.
