Panthers’ Brad Marchand ate a DQ Blizzard during NHL playoff win for Florida

Brad Marchand has good taste.

During intermission of the Florida Panthers’ dominant win Saturday night over the Carolina Hurricanes, Marchand had a little snack.

Cameras captured him chowing down on a Blizzard. Yeah, the ice cream snack from Dairy Queen.

What flavor?

Chocolate chip cookie dough, a classic.

“You can’t beat it,” Marchand said. “It’s the best dessert in the world.”

Then, he had a request for DQ.

“So I better get a lifetime free supply of Dairy Queen now,” Marchand said.

Maybe the best part? Marchand had that Blizzard during the second intermission, and in the third period, he scored a goal.

It was Florida’s final goal in a 6-2 win over Carolina to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Marchand left Boston at the trade deadline to compete for another Stanley Cup, and Blizzards and all, he’s on his way.
