The NFL playoffs are quickly approaching, which makes every game crucial for seeding. That is especially the case for Monday night’s game between the Saints and Packers.

Green Bay is 10-4 entering Week 16, but the Packers are multiple games behind the Lions and Vikings in both the NFC North standings and the NFC playoff race. Still, the Packers are comfortably in a playoff spot, currently sitting as the No. 6 seed and having won four of their last five games.

After a rocky start to his season, Jordan Love has settled down, totaling 2,953 passing yards, 23 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Despite throwing at least one interception in each of his first eight games, Love hasn’t thrown a pick in the last four games while posting seven passing touchdowns in that span.

While the Packers have a balanced offense, running back Josh Jacobs stands out as one of the most important players on the team. The former Raider has 1,147 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns in his first year with Green Bay, both of which are top five in the league this year.

Meanwhile, the Saints have already been eliminated from playoff contention, but they have won three of their last five games under interim head coach Darren Rizzi. New Orleans will be without Derek Carr again, as the veteran quarterback is dealing with a concussion and a fractured hand, having last played in Week 14 vs. the Giants.

In Carr’s place will Spencer Rattler, even though Jake Haener got the start last week. However, Haener was benched after completing just four passes in the first half, and Rattler finished the game, totaling 135 passing yards and a touchdown as the Saints lost by one point to Washington.

The Saints’s best offensive player is still Alvin Kamara, who is just 50 rushing yards away from another 1,000-yard rushing season. However, he will also miss this game after suffering an injury last week, meaning Kendre Miller will likely take over as the lead runner.
