The Green Bay Packers are looking to make final adjustments to their roster ahead of training camp, which begins in just a few weeks. One focal point is cornerback Jaire Alexander, who has been in contract negotiations since the offseason began. Both sides are working to reach a compromise that meets their respective needs.

“On the contract front, the Packers could want a revised deal that allows Alexander — who has missed at least 10 games in three of the last four seasons — to earn his full salary if he’s healthy and available in 2025 but protects the team in case the injuries continue,” Packers Wire’s Zach Kruse wrote.

While that situation remains unresolved, another area requiring attention is adding depth at the pass rusher position. Rashan Gary is optimistic about the upcoming season and focused on building off last year’s performance.

“In Year 2, off to a better start, man,” Gary said after Tuesday’s practice. “Everybody had a great offseason up until this point getting back to OTAs, just how we been locked in Monday to Thursday. Even us meeting on the weekends, having film studies, I feel like we really locked in as a group. Things that we didn’t do last year at this point.”

One name previously linked to the Packers was former No. 1 overall pick Jadeveon Clowney. However, a potentially better option could be two-time Super Bowl champion Von Miller, who was released by the Buffalo Bills in March.

“That being said, the pressure would not be as high for Miller in Green Bay because the Packers already have players they’re hoping can get after the quarterback. Miller would be extra depth and he’s also a guy who has experience playing in big games,” Lombardi Ave’s Leigh Oleszczak wrote.

Miller would bring valuable veteran leadership to the locker room, and when healthy, he remains a difficult player for opposing offenses to handle. The Packers are eager for the season ahead, and signing Miller would only heighten that excitement.
