NOTTINGHAM FOREST have been hit with a huge fine after their shocking tweet following last season’s defeat to Everton.
Forest lost 2-0 at Goodison Park in April’s potential relegation clash.
But chiefs were left fuming as they felt Forest were denied three clear penalties.
The club then published a wild post on X claiming that the VAR ref on the day was “a Luton fan”, with the Hatters also battling for safety at the time.
It read: “Three extremely poor decisions – three penalties not given – which we simply cannot accept.
“We warned the PGMOL that the VAR is a Luton fan before the game but they didn’t change him.
“Our patience has been tested multiple times. NFFC will now consider its options.”
Forest were then hit with misconduct charges by the FA.
And they have now been fined a massive £750,000.
