Turki Alalshikh announced the loaded David Benavidez vs. Anthony Yarde event today to take place on November 22nd on DAZN at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Benavidez defends his WBC light heavyweight title against Yarde in the headliner.

In the chief support, Devin Haney challenges WBO welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr. for his belt. The card had already been revealed a week ago for November, but fans now know the exact date on the 22nd, the location, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The announcement didn’t reveal if the event will be shown on DAZN PPV, but it’s assumed that it will be. With the excellent fights on the card, it must be PPV.

November 22nd DAZN Fights

  • David Benavidez vs. Anthony Yarde
  • Devin Haney vs. Brian Norman Jr.
  • Abdullah Mason vs. Sam Noakes
  • Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez vs. Fernando Martinez

The event is called, The Ring IV: Night of the Champions,” and the kickoff press conference is this Friday, July 11th, at the Hard Rock Times Square.

Bam Rodriguez Unification Risk

One fight that remains uncertain is the Bam Rodriguez vs. Martinez unification. WBC super flyweight champion Jesse Rodriguez (21-0, 14 KOs) still must win his unification clash against WBO champion Phumelela Cafu (11-0-3, 8 KOs) on July 19th at The Ford Center at The Star, Frisco, Texas.

It’s a mystery why Turki chose to announce the ‘Bam’ Rodriguez unification fight against WBA 115-lb champion Fernando Martinez (18-0, 9 KOs) before he fought WBO champ Cafu on July 19th. That’s taking a risk because Bam could lose. He’s a good fighter, but he gets hit a lot and Cafu can punch.

Having Devin Haney (32-0, 15 KOs) given top billing over WBO champion Brian Norman Jr. (28-0, 22 KOs) because he’s the challenger, coming off a poor performance on the May 2nd card at Times Square in New York City. Before that, Haney lost to Ryan Garcia. Devin should have his name after Norman’s.
