The Chicago Bears are doing everything they can to ensure that quarterback Caleb Williams will have a tremendous second NFL season.

Chicago strengthened its offensive line this offseason by adding guards Joe Thuney, Jonah Jackson, and center Drew Dalman.

The Bears could still use some help at tackle, and Pro Football Focus’s Mason Cameron floats out an NFL Draft trade idea that would send the Bears’ No. 10 and No. 41 picks to the Jacksonville Jaguars for a No. 5 selection that could help Chicago draft the best tackle in the class.

“If this offseason has taught us anything, it’s that Bears general manager Ryan Poles isn’t shy about flexing his draft capital when he sees an opportunity,” Cameron wrote. “That very well could be the situation this team will find itself in should Abdul Carter fall out of the top four, the result of two quarterbacks being selected within that range, or perhaps Will Campbell’s length concerns not scaring away a team like New England.”

If the Bears trade up to the No. 5 pick, they will have endless possibilities. Chicago could land Louisiana State University’s left tackle, Will Campbell, or take Penn State’s pass rusher, Abdul Carter. If Colorado’s cornerback/wide receiver, Travis Hunter, falls, the Bears could add the best playmaker on both sides of the ball with one selection.
