Inclement weather is often an underrated factor that can impact NFL offenses and their players’ fantasy production. Rain and wind are the two most common factors that may affect outdoor games, but we’ve reached the point in the year where northern teams may be dealing with some snow.
Before we get into the Week 12 forecasts, here’s a reminder that if you have any questions about sports weather or how the weather could impact play (and potentially your fantasy, DFS, and sports betting decisions), don’t hesitate to reach out to RotoGrinders’ meteorologist Kevin Roth on Twitter (@KevinRothWx) or check out the hourly NFL weather forecasts on RotoGrinders. Note: If a game isn’t mentioned below, it’s because it doesn’t have 10+-mph winds, a 20+-percent chance of precipitation, or extreme temperatures in the forecast.

Week 12 NFL weather forecast and updates
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns
This AFC North battle on Thursday Night Football may deliver our first nasty winter weather of the year. With temperatures in the 30s and chances of precipitation coming in at 75 percent, we may see a rain/snow mix coming down in Cleveland. Wind is expected to impact this game to some degree as well, with forecasts calling for winds in the range of 10-15 MPH. Given the nature of the weather, it would not be ridiculous to bench some of the fringe pass catchers in this game like Cedric Tillman and Jerry Jeudy.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New York Giants
MetLife Stadium will be hit with some wind on Sunday afternoon. Sustained winds are supposed to sit between 10-15 MPH with gusts reaching up to 30 MPH. These winds could impact longer throws and kicks but should not affect lineup decisions.
