The road to Super Bowl 59 has reached the home stretch.
The 2025 NFL playoffs are just around the corner, with the final bracket set to be locked in Sunday as Week 18 concludes.
Several playoff spots already are locked in entering the final day: The Chiefs are No 1 in the AFC and will take next weekend off with a first-round bye. The winner of Sunday night’s Lions-Vikings game will have the top seed in the NFC and join Kansas City in resting up next weekend.
Elsewhere, the Bills and Eagles have clinched the No. 2 seeds in their respective conferences, while the Texans are locked in at No. 4 in the AFC. The Ravens, Steelers and Chargers have clinched playoff spots in the AFC with seeds still to be determined, while the Rams, Packers, Commanders and the loser of the Lions-Vikings game can say the same in the NFC.
The full 2025 NFL playoff schedule should be released Sunday night. Here’s what you need to know to watch the postseason:
When do the NFL playoffs start in 2025?
- Wild-card round: Jan. 11-13
- Divisional round: Jan. 18-19
- Conference championships: Jan. 26
- Super Bowl 59: Feb. 9
Seven teams from each conference will take part in the postseason, with the No. 1 seed in each conference being the only sides to earn a bye week during the wild-card round.
The top seeds join the fray in the divisional round, which features games on Saturday and Sunday. Both conference championships will be played Sunday, Jan. 26 to tee up the Super Bowl two weeks later.

Super Bowl 59 is set to be held on Sunday, Feb. 9 at the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The Superdome is hosting the big game for the eighth time, more than any other stadium, while New Orleans is home to the Super Bowl for the 11th time overall, tying Miami for the most.
How to watch NFL playoff games on TV, live stream
The NFL playoff games will air on many of the same networks that broadcast games during the regular season.
CBS, Fox and NBC will broadcast the most games, while ESPN and ABC will combine to broadcast the “Monday Night Football” wild-card game for the third consecutive year. Fox holds the rights to Super Bowl 59 on Sunday, Feb. 9.
