The race for the Super Bowl continues on with the divisional round.

What started as a field of 14 is about to be down to just eight, as the results from wild-card weekend have knocked out six clubs from the championship quest. Now, teams just need two more wins before playing in the biggest spectacle on the NFL calendar.

The further into the playoffs you go, the more difficult it gets. The divisional round is next up on the docket, a four-game slate set to feature a number of elite teams.

With that, here’s a complete look at the NFL playoff bracket and the divisional schedule.

NFL divisional matchups 2025

AFC

Kansas City Chiefs (1) vs. Houston Texans (4)

With all the wild-card teams losing in the AFC, it sets up a matchup between the Chiefs and the Texans in the divisional round. The defending Super Bowl champions are coming off a bye, while C.J. Stroud and the Texans are fresh off defeating the Chargers. The two squads met just a few weeks ago at Arrowhead Stadium, as Kansas City claimed a close 27-19 win over Houston in Week 16.

It’s a pair of teams with completely opposite results in the divisional round. The Chiefs have reached the AFC Championship the last six postseasons in a row, while the Texans are 0-5 in division-round games.

Buffalo Bills (2) vs. Baltimore Ravens (3)

Fans are in for a treat with the Bills and Ravens meeting in what is very likely the most exciting divisional-round matchup this year. It features two giants going head-to-head at quarterback, with MVP candidates Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson meeting for the first time in the playoffs. Buffalo is coming off a win over Denver, while Baltimore defeated AFC North rival Pittsburgh in the wild-card round.

The two met earlier in the season with Baltimore beating Buffalo 35-10 back in Week 4, but that means nothing for the playoffs. Bills mafia will be out in full form at Highmark Stadium, watching as one team punches their ticket to the AFC Championship.

NFC

Philadelphia Eagles (2) vs. Rams (4)

The Eagles pulled out a 22-10 win over the Packers on Sunday afternoon, advancing to the divisional round next week. While the defense was dominant for the Birds, the offense left much to be desired.

On Monday night, the Rams defeated the Vikings 27-9, meaning Los Angeles advances to play Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon. Historically, Los Angeles has gotten the better of Philly in the playoffs, owning a 2-1 record.

Detroit Lions (1) vs. Washington Commanders (6)

The cardiac Commanders just seem to find a way. Jayden Daniels starred again for Washington in its last-second win over Tampa Bay on wild-card weekend. However, the reward is a date with the No. 1 team in football — the Lions.

Detroit enters the divisional round coming off a well-earned bye after posting 15 wins in the regular season. Even with a plethora of injuries on defense, Dan Campbell’s crew has been clicking on all cylinders, and aim to get back to the NFC Championship for the second season in a row.
