In Week 18 of the 2024 season, the future of the NFL hangs in the balance.

Heading into the final few NFL games of the season, 13 of 14 playoff spots have been clinched. And while the playoff hopes of three teams are still alive, all other teams have their eyes on the future as they’ve been eliminated from playoff contention and have shifted their focus to April’s draft.

The 2025 NFL Draft order is of great importance for teams that won’t be advancing to the postseason and Week 18 results have great bearing on how the draft order shakes out.

As the final slate of games got underway, the Patriots “led” a four-way tie for the NFL’s worst record at 3-13, but they earned a win over the Bills to move out of contention for the top pick. Now, the Titans, Browns, and Giants, in that order, are the three 14-loss teams who will pick at the top of the order after losing in Week 18.

Throughout Week 18, The Sporting News will keep you up to date with the latest NFL Draft order for 2025.

NFL Draft 2025 top prospects

Here’s a look at the top 10 NFL Draft prospects, based on our own Vinnie Iyer’s latest 2025 big board:

Rank Player Position College team

8 Shedeur Sanders QB Colorado
9 Cam Ward QB Miami
10 Will Campbell OT LSU

The 2025 NFL Draft class is a talented one.

The top quarterbacks are Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Miami’s Cam Ward. Talented as they are, their landing spot is dependent on who finishes with the No. 1 pick. The Patriots, who have found a gem in rookie Drake Maye, are set at quarterback and would have some leverage if they won the top pick.

Las Vegas and the New York Giants, however, are seeking a franchise QB to reverse their fortunes.

Heisman Trophy-winning two-way player Travis Hunter is the other big name from this draft class, which also features LSU OT Will Campbell, Michigan DT Mason Graham, and Arizona WR Tetairoa McMillan, among others.
