Ohio State won the first 12-team College Football Playoff with a national championship run for the ages. Now, that legacy will continue in Indianapolis.
The Buckeyes will have 15 players — the most of any school — at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine from Feb. 27-March 3 at Lucas Oil Stadium. Knowing that, the Buckeyes could make a run at Georgia, which set the record with 15 players selected in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Of course, there are a few comparisons with rival Michigan to be made, too. What are those comparisons? Who are the Buckeyes to watch at the 2025 NFL Combine? Here is a closer look:

Ohio State players at the NFL Combine
Here is a look at the Ohio State players in the 2025 NFL Combine, when they will work out and their early projected draft grade:
Thursday, Feb. 27: Defensive line and linebackers
Jack Sawyer, DE
Sawyer emerged as the heart of the Buckeyes’ playoff run with a strong postseason that included 4.5 sacks and seven pass breakups in the four-game run. He is projected by Sporting News’ Vinnie Iyer to be a first-round pick in SN’s latest NFL Mock Draft.
Tyleik Williams, DT
Williams is the other projected first-round pick. The 330-pound defensive tackle battled through injuries and had eight tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks this season.
JT Tuimoloau, DE
Tuimoloau — a former five-star recruit — could move into the first round if he has a strong performance. The edge rusher finished with 12.5 sacks. He had 6.5 sacks in the playoff run.
Ty Hamilton, DT
Hamilton — like Sawyer — comes from the Pickerington pipeline to the NFL. He is the younger brother of Jacksonville defensive lineman Davon Hamilton. Ty Hamilton had 51 tackles and 3.5 sacks last season.
Cody Simon, LB
Simon is a solid linebacker who led the Buckeyes with 112 tackles. He will likely fall to Day 2 or Day 3 but could surprise as a rookie if he lands in the right spot.
Friday, Feb. 28: Defensive backs and tight ends
Lathan Ransom, S
Ransom is an intriguing sleeper who could move into the first round with a strong performance. He had 76 tackles and nine tackles for loss.
Denzel Burke, CB
Burke had 48 tackles and two interceptions in an up-and-down final season with the Buckeyes.
Jordan Hancock, CB
Hancock had one interception and was second on the team with eight pass breakups. He is likely a Day 2 pick.
Saturday, March 1: Quarterbacks, running backs and receivers
Emeka Egbuka, WR
Egbuka had 1,011 yards and 10 TDs as a senior and is projected to go in the first round in Iyer’s latest mock draft.
Will Howard, QB
Howard led an impressive playoff run and will have NFL scouts’ attention with his 6-foot-4, 235-pound frame. Will an impressive combine push him to Day 2 — or perhaps the late first round
TreVeyon Henderson, RB
Henderson had 1,016 yards and 10 TDs on 7.1 yards per carry this season for the Buckeyes and is part of a loaded running back class.
Quinshon Judkins, RB
Judkins, an Ole Miss transfer, had 1,060 rushing yards and 14 TDs in one season with the Buckeyes. He has three straight 1,000-yard seasons in college.
Sunday, March 2: Offensive linemen
Josh Simmons, T
Simmons, a 6-foot-5, 310-pound tackle, is a projected first-round pick despite a left knee injury that cut short his final season with the Buckeyes.
Donovan Jackson, G
Jackson — a first-team Sporting News All-American — showed versatility when he switched from guard to tackle after Simmons’ injury. He is a solid Day 2 pick.
Seth McLaughlin, C
McLaughlin won the Rimington Trophy — which is given to the nation’s top center but he suffered a ruptured Achilles’ tendon late in the season. Will he drop him to Day 3?
How many Ohio State players will get drafted?
The Buckeyes had 14 players selected in the 2004 NFL Draft — two years after winning the national championship under Jim Tressel. The Buckeyes had five first-round picks in 2006 and 2016 — just short of the record of six which was set by Miami in 2004 and tied by Alabama in 2021.
