Newcastle remain in the market for a striker amid Liverpool’s interest in Alexander Isak.
The club rejected a £110million bid for the Swede and they are holding out for £150m.
Isak has been frozen out at Newcastle and is training alone away from his team-mates.
Meanwhile, Juventus are monitoring the Isak situation as they are reportedly keen on Tonali.
The Old Lady are long-term admirers of the Italian midfielder and view him as a top target.
Juventus want to offload striker Dusan Vlahovic this summer as he has just a year left on his contract.
And they are supposedly willing to offer the Serbian goal machine as part of a deal to bring Tonali to Turin.
It is unclear whether Newcastle are open to signing Vlahovic or not.
Juventus are also willing to throw Douglas Luiz into their Tonali bid.
The former Aston Villa midfielder wants out of Italy after starting just three Serie A games last term due to injuries and falling down the pecking order.
SunSport exclusively revealed last month that West Ham and Everton are in for the Brazilian ace.
Juventus right-back Nicolo Savona could be added to the bid instead of Luiz.
Reports from Gazzetta dello Sport claim it will not be a straight player-swap deal and instead a “more complex” offer with cash too.
However, Newcastle are said to view Tonali as “unsellable”.
The player is also happy at the club and is looking forward to starring in the Champions League once again.
If a deal cannot be reached for Tonali, Tottenham’s Yves Bissouma, Brighton’s Matt O’Riley and Sporting Lisbon’s Morten Hjulmund are alternatives.
