TWO-TIME NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo has joined the ownership group of Chelsea Women.
Antetokounmpo, 31, announced the move on Saturday night and said: “I’m proud and honoured to partner with my friend Alexis Ohanian, joining the ownership group of Chelsea WFC, a historic club built on passion, excellence, and a winning culture.
“Chelsea’s history speaks for itself, and I’m excited to contribute to the future by supporting continued growth and impact in women’s sport.
“This is about ambition, legacy, and pushing the game to new heights. Up the Chels!”
The Milwaukee Bucks star joins Ohanian – the husband of tennis legend Serena Williams – as a part-investor at Stamford Bridge.
Ohanian, who co-founded social media site Reddit, bought a 10% stake in the club last May, believed to be worth £20million.

The legendary NBA figure shared the news and his excitement for his latest chapter to his 16 million followers on Instagram.
He posted the announcement alongside a picture of himself in a Chelsea shirt and pointing to the badge.
Fans flooded the comments on his update, while Chelsea’s official account for the women’s team also reacted.
They replied: “Let’s go!!!” alongside a blue heart and fire emoji.
One follower said: “Omg I live this Giannis..go Chels. Welcome to the Chelsea family. Up the Chels. Blue is our colour.”
Another said: “Up the Blues.”
