NAOMI OSAKA has turned down a marriage proposal from a fan, nearly one year after splitting from rapper boyfriend Cordae.
The former couple, both 28, were together for six years before parting ways in January.
Osaka and Cordae are parents to their daughter Shai, 2, and remain good friends.
She confirmed in a statement earlier this year: “Hi everyone, just wanted to say that Cordae and I are no longer in a relationship.
“No bad blood at all, he’s a great person and an awesome dad.
“Honestly really glad our paths crossed because my daughter is my biggest blessing and I was able to grow a lot from our experiences together.”

However, Osaka has now passed on the opportunity to embark on a whirlwind romance with a fan on social media.
The Japanese tennis star, currently ranked 16th in the world, was holding a Q&A on Instagram when a cheeky follower plucked up the courage to pop the question.
Osaka was left stunned by the marriage proposal, which is sure to have tickled her 3million followers.
But fortunately for the desperate fan, the two-time US and Australian Open winner also saw the funny side.
Osaka politely declined the invitation for a shotgun wedding while also hailing the fan’s undoubted dedication.
She said: “I’m confused by questions like this because you don’t know me.
“Insane commitment from your end.”
Osaka also opened up on the trials and tribulations of being a mother as she dished out advice to another parent.
The former world No1 added: “I’m not going to lie to you, I struggled tremendously. I think for me, I journaled a lot to keep track of how I felt.
“I was also lucky because I could play tennis, and being on the court was a place of comfort for me.
“I would suggest you make time to do things that make you happy and also enjoy your new role because I promise you the time is going to go quickly.
“Before you know it, your baby is going to be talking back to you with sass.”
