Winning a Super Bowl is no easy task. It’s hard enough to reach the NFL’s championship game, let alone win the title contest.

That is, unless you’re Tom Brady, Charles Haley or perhaps any member of the 49ers and Steelers dynasties.

While plenty of football players never leave the game with a ring, there are others who not only have lifted the Lombardi trophy, but have done so on multiple occasions.

Below is the leaderboard of players with the most Super Bowl wins in NFL history, featuring Brady and a number of 49ers and Steelers from their respective legendary championship runs.

How many Super Bowls has Tom Brady won?

  • 7 (Super Bowls 36, 38, 39, 49, 51, 53, 55)

Brady won a total of seven Super Bowls during his NFL career, six with the Patriots and one with the Buccaneers.

His first one came during the 2001 season when he overtook Drew Bledsoe as the starting quarterback of the team. In his first year as QB1, Brady led the Patriots to a Super Bowl 36 showdown against the Rams. Brady and Co. bested the “Greatest Show on Turf” to claim not only his first ring but the first Lombardi Trophy in Patriots franchise history.

Brady then went back-to-back in 2003 and 2004 by defeating the Eagles and Panthers, respectively, in Super Bowls 38 and 39. After losing to the Giants in Super Bowls 42 and 46, the QB got back to the top of the NFL mountain in 2015 with a Super Bowl 49 win over the Seahawks.

In 2016, Brady helped lead the infamous 28-3 comeback against the Falcons, earning his fifth Super Bowl ring with a stunning overtime victory in Super Bowl 51. New England lost the championship the following year to Philadelphia, but the team secured Brady’s sixth ring in 2018 with a Super Bowl 53 victory over Los Angeles.

Brady’s last championship was his only one wearing a non-Patriots uniform. The legendary quarterback left New England after the 2019 season and signed with Tampa Bay. In his first season as quarterback for the Buccaneers, he helped the franchise win Super Bowl 55 over Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, bringing Tampa Bay its second championship.

How many Super Bowls has Charles Haley won?

  • 5 (Super Bowls 23, 24, 27, 28, 30)

Before Brady, the record for most Super Bowls won was held by Charles Haley, a linebacker who played for the 49ers and the Cowboys. The Hall of Famer won five rings in his 13 years in the NFL.

Haley’s first two championships came as a starting linebacker for San Francisco in the mid-to-late 1980s. He was drafted in 1986, joining a dominant squad that had already won two Super Bowls with Joe Montana at the helm of the offense. Haley was the sack leader of the squads that won Super Bowl 23 and Super Bowl 24, with the 49ers defeating the Bengals and Broncos, respectively.

In 1992, he was traded to the Cowboys, where he shifted to defensive end. Haley is viewed as one of the vital pieces for Dallas to become Super Bowl contenders, helping the Cowboys immediately go back-to-back against the Bills in Super Bowl 27 and Super Bowl 28, and then he added a third with a win in Super Bowl 30 against the Steelers.

How many Super Bowls has Marv Fleming won?

  • 4 (Super Bowls 1, 2, 7, 8)

The first player to ever win four Super Bowls was Marv Fleming. The tight end won two championships with the Packers and then two more with the Dolphins.

Fleming played in the first-ever Super Bowls, assisting Green Bay in its victories over Kansas City and Oakland in Super Bowl 1 and Super Bowl 2. After seven seasons with the Packers, he signed with the Dolphins in free agency in 1970. Soon after, he claimed two more rings when Miami went back-to-back with wins in Super Bowls 7 and 8 against the Redskins and Vikings, respectively.

How many Super Bowls has Ted Hendricks won?

  • 4 (Super Bowls 5, 11, 15, 18)

Ted Hendricks also claimed four Super Bowls during his NFL career, winning one with the Baltimore Colts and three with the Raiders.

The linebacker, nicknamed the “Mad Stork” earned his first ring in 1971, winning Super Bowl 5 with the Colts. Hendricks later joined the Raiders in 1975, and was a crucial part in Oakland emerging victorious in Super Bowls 11, 15 and 18.

San Francisco won it all in Super Bowl 16, Super Bowl 19, Super Bowl 23 and Super Bowl 24, defeating Cincinnati (twice), Miami and Denver in those games. Five players were a part of all four championship crews that brought the Lombardi Trophy to the Bay area.

How many Super Bowls has Matt Millen won?

  • 4 (Super Bowls 15, 18, 24, 26)

Matt Millen is the only player so far in NFL history to win Super Bowls with three different teams.

The linebacker first secured two Super Bowl rings with the Raiders, winning Super Bowls 15 and 18 in Oakland against Philadelphia and Washington. He then went to San Francisco where he won Super Bowl 24 with the 49ers, and then to Washington where he was on the team that won Super Bowl 26.

How many Super Bowls has Jesse Sapolu won?

  • 4 (Super Bowls 14, 23, 24, 29)

Jesse Sapolu earned all four Super Bowl wins as a member of the 49ers, but the offensive lineman was a late arrival to the dynasty. While the five listed above first won in 1981, Sapolu wasn’t with the team until 1983, so Super Bowl 14 was his first championship.

Sapolu was on Montana’s line as well for wins in Super Bowl 23 and Super Bowl 24. By the time Super Bowl 29 rolled around, Montana, Lott, Turner, Wilson and Wright were all gone, but Sapolu was still on San Francisco, helping the club to a win over San Diego for his fourth ring.

How many Super Bowls has Bill Romanowski won?

  • 4 (Super Bowls 23, 24, 32, 33)

Bill Romanowski, nicknamed “RomoCop” during his prime, won four Super Bowl rings as well. He earned two with the 49ers and two with the Broncos.

The linebacker was a part of the San Francisco contingents that claimed Super Bowl 23 and Super Bowl 24, playing a backup role in his first two seasons that resulted in rings. After four more years with the 49ers and two with the Eagles, he joined the Broncos. With Denver, he went back-to-back again with wins in Super Bowl 32 and Super Bowl 33.

How many Super Bowls has Adam Vinatieri won?

  • 4 (Super Bowls 36, 38, 39, 41)

Adam Vinatieri won four Super Bowl rings in his time as a kicker in the NFL. He claimed three with the Patriots in the early 2000s and another with the Colts.

Vinatieri was the kicker for New England when it won its first three Super Bowls as a franchise. He made the game-winning kick in Super Bowl 36 against the Rams, and then did the same in Super Bowl 38 against the Panthers. He kicked a field goal and three extra points the next year in the Pats’ Super Bowl 39 win over the Eagles.

After the 2005 season, Vinatieri signed with the Colts in free agency, joining an organization led by star QB Peyton Manning. Indianapolis reached the Super Bowl in his first season, appearing in Super Bowl 41 against the Bears. Vinatieri converted three of four field goal attempts and one of two extra point attempts en route to his fourth ring.

How many Super Bowls has Rob Gronkowski won?

  • 4 (Super Bowls 49, 51, 53, 55)

Rob Gronkowski won four Super Bowls in his career as the tight end target for Brady in the back half of his career. “Gronk” has three rings with the Patriots and one with the Buccaneers.

Gronkowski’s first ring came in 2014 with a Super Bowl 49 win over the Seahawks. His second was the infamous 28-3 comeback against the Falcons, and his third was in 2018 with a Super Bowl 53 victory over the Rams.

The tight end then followed Brady to Tampa Bay, teaming up with the QB to win another ring when the Buccaneers defeated the Chiefs in Super Bowl 55.

How many Super Bowls has Joe Thuney won?

  • 4 (Super Bowl 51, 53, 57, 58)

Joe Thuney is the only active player with four Super Bowl rings. The offensive guard has only been a part of two teams in the NFL, but both have been dynasties. He has two Super Bowl wins with the Patriots and two with the Chiefs so far.

Thuney joined New England in 2016, so he missed the Super Bowl 49 victory over Seattle. His first ring was the comeback win over Atlanta in Super Bowl 51, and then he earned a second with the Super Bowl 53 ring against Los Angeles.

In 2021, Thuney left the Patriots to sign with the Chiefs, going from one elite QB to another in Patrick Mahomes. In his second season in Kansas City, he won Super Bowl 57 when the Chiefs beat the Eagles, and then won a fourth ring when the team repeated as champions in Super Bowl 58 with the win over the 49ers.

If Thuney and the Chiefs win Super Bowl 59, the offensive guard would join his former QB and Haley as the only players ever to win five rings.

How many Super Bowls have Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce won?

  • 3 (Super Bowl 54, 57, 58)

The current Chiefs dynasty is responsible for three Super Bowl wins, but are on the verge of picking up a fourth in 2025.

The first Super Bowl ring for Mahomes, Travis Kelce and company came in 2019 when Kansas City defeated San Francisco in Super Bowl 54. After losing in Super Bowl 55 to Tampa Bay and falling short of a Super Bowl 56 appearance, the Chiefs got their second ring in the Mahomes era in 2022, defeating the Eagles in Super Bowl 57.

Kansas City successfully defended its title in 2023 by knocking off San Francisco again. Now, the team has a chance to become the first club ever to three-peat in the Super Bowl era with a Super Bowl 59 showdown against the Eagles.

Here is the list of Chiefs players who are on this year’s squad that could pick up their fourth ring.

  • Patrick Mahomes, QB
  • Travis Kelce, TE
  • Chris Jones, DT
  • Harrison Butker, K
  • James Winchester, LS
