MIKEL ARTETA has finally revealed William Saliba’s injury situation.

The Arsenal centre-half suffered a recurrence of an ankle injury he suffered in August ahead of the 1-1 draw with Chelsea and has missed the last four games.

Saliba is once again a doubt for tomorrow’s home game with Wolves along with Declan Rice, Leandro Trossard and Jurrien Timber.

Asked about Saliba, Arteta, who is always coy on injuries, said: “We have to wait and see.

“Yesterday we didn’t train, he hasn’t trained with us yet. We have an extra day, we train this afternoon. Let’s see if he can be available or not.

“If you asked me about the Everton game, I think he will be fit. For tomorrow, I don’t know.

“It was something quite small. It came from an ankle injury that he had and then it started to modify the way he was running and all that.

“He started to overload an area, which is something common.

“But at some point he was uncomfortable continuing to train and play and we had to stop it.

“He looks better but we have to wait and see if it’s enough for him to be able to train with the team.”

Timber picked up a knock in Saturday’s 2-1 loss against Aston Villa and missed Wednesday’s 3-0 win at Club Brugge.

Asked about the Dutch defender, Arteta said: “It depends how he feels today.

“It was a knock that he picked up and he wasn’t feeling comfortable. Again I think it’s a matter of days. Whether it’s tomorrow or not we will see.”

Rice did not travel to Belgium due to illness.

Arteta added: “Let’s see how it is today.

“Obviously he was ill. Normally in a few days it gets resolved. We have to wait how far he can push.”

Arteta was also coy about Trossard who has been missing with a calf problem.

The Arsenal boss added:  “Again, it’s another one that is a matter of days. It sounds boring but it’s the reality so we don’t know.”
