Emilien Pitre’s first Triple-A home run – along with homers from Ronny Mauricio and MJ Melendez – were not enough to overcome a truly dreadful pitching performance from nearly every arm who got in the game tonight. Truly a waste of a lineup performance when all but one starter had at least one hit.

BINGHAMTON 3, NEW HAMPSHIRE 1 (BOX)
Two runs in the first on a Corey Collins double were enough to support R.J. Gordon and the rest of the Binghamton staff. Collins isn’t a top-end prospect, but he’s had a nice season with a .910 OPS in Double-A. He’s also old for the level and is benefitting from an overly passive approach that will likely not play at the higher levels (probably). Marco Vargas also continued his solid post injury reply and how has his OPS at .750 in Double-A.

FREDERICK 7, BROOKLYN 3 (BOX)
Two more homers wasted by a poor pitching performance. This time it was Ryan Dollar who was the primary culprit, coughing up four runs in an inning of work. Elian Peña also had a bad night, going 0-for-5 and making an error that led to two unearned runs.
