Analysis

The biggest name you won’t find on the roster is Pete Alonso. While he and the Mets agreed to a two-year deal that includes a player option for 2026, the deal is not yet official, meaning Alonso will be added to the roster at a later time.

The roster also includes a number of non-40-man-roster invitees, including prospects like Jett Williams, Ryan Clifford, Drew Gilbert, Brandon Sproat, and Blade Tidwell, among others.

This is also a fairly large spring training roster, particularly when it comes to the mound, with 36 pitchers invited to big league camp.
