MARTIN ODEGAARD left the Emirates in a knee brace as he and Declan Rice suffered injuries against West Ham.
The Gunners captain set an unwanted record of becoming the first ever Prem player to be subbed off in the first half of three consecutive matches.
Odegaard has endured an injury-hit campaign having missed the Manchester City match with a shoulder problem.
And he looks set to miss several more matches after leaving the Emirates in a knee brace.
Mikel Arteta shared an update on the injured pair, warning Odegaard’s injury could be serious.
He said: “He [Odegaard] had a clash, knee to knee. Immediately he was uncomfortable.
“He’s not positive about it. He has got a brace on. We will have to wait from the doctors but we have been very unlucky with that.
“Yeah we haven’t had him since the start for one reason or another. The shoulder twice and then this injury.
“We have to wait and see the extent of the injury. We will have to find solutions but obviously is our captain and is a player that gives us a completely different dimension with things that he can do, especially in the attack.
“Let’s wait and hopefully it is not that bad.”
On Rice’s situation, Arteta added: “ With Declan, he was struggling with a back pain. He asked to come off.”
Rice was brought off in the 78th minute after going to ground and receiving treatment.
The midfielder opened the scoring against his former club and appears to have been taken off as a precaution.
Rice has been ever-present for Arsenal this season but he is now a doubt for England.
The Three Lions face Wales in a friendly on Thursday before a World Cup qualifier against Latvia.
Arteta was unable to confirm if Rice would be available for selection for England.
