Fans’ legend shows the passion
It has been refreshing to see Ruud van Nistelrooy bring some passion back to the Man Utd hotseat.
He will be hoping to finish his interim stint today with the side remaining unbeaten.
As Paul Scholes said in the week after their game against PAOK, he feels the former striker is too good of a manager to be somebody’s number two and will look for a new project elsewhere.
Foxes looking to switch roles
Should Leicester manage to get a win at Old Trafford today, they would leapfrog Man Utd in the table.
Having scored a late equaliser last time out, they come into this game with some confidence.
Vardy will be likely to lead the line again and take advantage of the questions being asked about United’s defensive capabilities.
Interim boss stays tight-lipped on future
Van Nistelrooy was asked what his plans are when the new manager finally takes charge tomorrow:
I think that Ruben, what he is saying, his focus is on [Sporting against] Braga and I focus on Leicester. I think that’s a great one for now. And that shows that we’re focused on the day-by-day job and get the maximum out of the team. So let him focus on Braga, I’ll focus on Leicester. I will see after that.

No way to improve for United
Victory against Steve Cooper’s side would not improve Man Utd’s league position at all.
They find themselves in 13th place in the Premier League, three points behind Newcastle above them.
However, if results go their way in The Magpies’ game today it could see the Red Devils improve their league position.
Ruud’s farewell note to fans
In the match programme for the game, there is the usual note from the manager.
However, many have commented that it reads as a goodbye message from the former striker.
Many expect Ruben Amorim to bring in his own backroom staff and van Nistelrooy is expected to pursue other managerial opportunities.
Welcome to Man Utd vs Leicester
Ruud van Niistelrooy takes charge of his final game as Man Utd interim manager as the Red Devils welcome Leicester City to Old Trafford.
Amad Diallo is a doubt for the game and will face a late fitness test while Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire, Kobbie Mainoo, Tyrell Malacia and Leny Yoro all remain out still.
Yoro is back in training but is expected to be given time to get back to full fitness rather than being rushed back into first-team duties.
Marcus Rashford is expected to return to the starting line-up as a result of injuries, while Lisandro Martinez and Matthijs de Ligt are expected to return to the heart of defence at the expense of Jonny Evans and Viictor Lindelof.
Leicester have a fully fit squad and there is a slim chance that long-term ankle injury victim Patson Daka could make his comeback in today’s game, as well as Bobby Decordova-Reid following the ‘nasty wound’ he picked up in their EFL Cup loss.
Hamza Choudhury is almost at full fitness and could play a part in the matchday squad, while Jakub Stolarczyk is likely to be the only absentee for The Foxes.
Despite scoring a late equaliser in their last game, Ayew may have to resign himself to a place on the bench once again for today’s game.
