CARLOS BALEBA has not forgotten about his summer transfer saga with Manchester United ahead of travelling to Old Trafford with Brighton on Saturday.

However, Brighton stood in the way of a move and set an asking price of over £100million for their latest star.

Now, with Baleba heading to Manchester to take on Ruben Amorim’s side, he made a knowing reference to the interest online – but quickly deleted the post.

Writing on his Instagram story, Baleba uploaded a pre-match graphic but added a cheeky caption.

He said: “Coming to Old Trafford”.

Baleba knew he was stirring the pot and added a laughing face emoji but still didn’t leave the post up for long.

He swiftly took the story down and will now wish to let his football do the talking.

Baleba has played in all eight of Brighton’s Premier League fixtures heading into this clash but hasn’t hit the heights of last season.

He is still thought to be on the radar for United heading into January and summer 2026.

Speaking ahead of the match, boss Fabian Hurzeler said: “I think it’s very important to understand that we saw some really good actions from Baleba against Newcastle and I’m pleased to hear this.

“It’s always the most important how a player feels, that he feels like he’s getting back to his own.

“Now it’s about all the behaviours that he showed against Newcastle and making them into habits, if you do it consistently, daily business, every training showing these behaviours and actions then you get habits.

“I feel also that he’s getting back more and more to his shape and hopefully he can continue with that performance tomorrow [Saturday]”

United, meanwhile, managed to beat Liverpool at Anfield but have regularly slipped up in games that are deemed to be easier.
