Sir Alex Ferguson profit
Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson is still earning a pretty penny, despite being ruthlessly axed from his lucrative role at the club.
Ferguson was axed from his multi-million-pound ambassadorial role, with the sacking coming into effect at the end of the season.
That decision from Man Utd minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe saw the Scot wave goodbye to a whopping £2.1million a year salary.
But the 83-year-old won’t be strapped for cash thanks to a business venture he embarked upon over four decades ago.
Fergie’s personal company ACF Sports Promotions Limited recorded profits of £2.7m last year, taking its total assets to £26.9m.
ACF is the company that handles all of Ferguson’s commercial activities, including speaking appearances.
Schmeichel talks Cunha
Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel praised his former club for swooping for proven Premier League talent Matheus Cunha.
It’s a positive one. I think what we haven’t done, for a number of years, is to sign really, really good and well performing players from the Premier League.
And, for that to be the first signing, that is an important signal to send to everyone.

Rashford’s Barcelona plea
Manchester United outcast Marcus Rashford says he wants to join Barcelona after issuing a come-and-get-me transfer plea to the Spanish champions.
Rashford is frozen out by United manager Ruben Amorim and declared he dreams of playing alongside Barca superstar Lamine Yamal in a stunning interview while on holiday.
And the forward is even ready to switch from his natural position on the wing to an outright No9 role to make the move happen.
Yeah, sure. Everybody in the world wants to play with the best. So hopefully, we’ll see..
Spain is nice, it’s not too far from home. If I’m training over a long period, my family can come for a few days, it’s a nice location and good weather.

Inter confirm striker interest
Inter Milan president Giuseppe Marotta confirmed his interest in Parma star Bonny despite links with Manchester United flop Rasmus Hojlund.
He is a player who is in our notebook, but we have not yet negotiated in depth. We will do it calmly.
Parma’s will remains to be seen, but I do not deny that they are interested.
