Sancho update

Jadon Sancho is set to reject a reunion with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Beskitas as he holds out for a move to Italy.

The Turkish giants revealed this week they are making a huge push to sign the Manchester United exile this summer.

But the £73 million ace is believed to prefer a move to Italy with Juventus currently the most likely destination.

It was Solskjaer who brought Sancho to Old Trafford back in summer 2021 and he gave the thumbs up to a swoop by his current employers.

Besiktas president Serdal Adali said: “Just as much as the community wants him, I want him too.

“What matters is not only our desire, but also if the player wants to come to Turkey. We have a budget, and we will do our best to bring him here.

“Players like Jadon Sancho usually prefer clubs playing in the Champions League.

“Whether it happens today or not, it is hard to say. If it is possible, we will get him. Besiktas fans can rest assured.”

However a move to Turkey is not believed to appeal to Sancho at this stage of his career.

As well as Juventus, his former club Borussia Dortmund have also registered interest and look a more likely destination.

Sancho is currently training with the ‘bomb squad’ at Carrington after being frozen out by Ruben Amorim.

Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Tyrell Malacia are also working away from the first team as they look to resolve their futures.
