Red Devils linked to Udinese ace

Udinese star Lorenzo Lucca has emerged as a prime candidate as Manchester United plan for a cost-efficient summer refit.

And Lucca, who stands at 6ft 7in, is said to cost a mere £25million this summer.

The striker has amassed 12 goals in 33 appearances and earned an Italy call-up.

And the Italian appears to have a soft spot for United as he grew up with posters of club legends Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic on his wall.

‘Best news is Rashford is smiling again’

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery claims Marcus Rashford has rediscovered his love for the game.

Goals and assists are now flowing on loan for Rashford, who has also earned an England recall following his loan move from Manchester United.

Emery said: “!He is a good guy – humble, a very good professional, and he is really happy with his team-mates.

“‘He is being demanding on himself and with everything we want to work on with him, with the team.

‘He is playing free, he feels comfortable and this is the most important thing.

“We try to connect with him as a person first of all, and afterwards as a player.

‘His process here is getting better, playing in two different positions. He started with us as a left-winger and now he is playing more as a striker.

‘There is still work to do but the most important thing is his feeling. We are seeing him smiling and it is the best news we can have.”

Osimhen back on the Prem menu

Victor Osimhen is again being talked up for a summer switch to the Prem.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been mentioned in connection with the Galatasaray loanee.

And it’s suggested the 26-year-old is likely to depart parent club Napoli this summer.

Galatasaray are thought to be out of the running for a permanent deal.

Instead Napoli hope to receive around £55million for the Nigerian.

It’s also claimed Osimhen has already decided he wants to join a Prem team next.

Scholes fears Mainoo & Garnacho exit

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes reckons co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe will sell Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho in the summer transfer window.

Scholes told Premier League Productions: “It has to be a major concern.

“Where’s the money coming from for new signings? We saw those interviews with Sir Jim and they didn’t make good reading.

“It doesn’t look like Ruben Amorim will get a war chest to go to war with. It doesn’t feel like that.

“I get the impression, and I could be wrong, but I think they might sell the two young players. I think they might sell Mainoo and Garnacho.

“Maybe they sell them this summer. The Mainoo one would hurt. They both would. Garnacho came later but Mainoo has been at the club since he was a kid.

“He had a brilliant season last year and it makes the academy system look bad if a player like him can’t make it and they have to sell him.

“I hope I’m wrong, I hope they don’t do that, but the noises I hear, it is a big concern.”

Sporting star is ‘United back-up plan’

Manchester United chief Ruben Amorim will consider returning to Sporting Lisbon for Portugal winger Francisco Trincao.

That’s the claim of GIVEMESPORT, who reckon Trincao will be a prime target if United lose out in the race for Wolves’ Matheus Cunha.

It’s thought the ex-Barcelona wideman, 25, has a release clause of around £67million.

Mainoo bost

Kobbie Mainoo could be about to make his first Manchester United appearance since February.

The teenager has been sidelined for over 6 weeks due to a muscular problem.

Mainoo missed the Manchester derby last weekend but could be in the squad to take on Lyon in the Europa League on Thursday.

Boss Ruben Amorim confirmed: “Kobbie Mainoo is training with us.

“We want to be careful, again, with our players, but maybe he’s going to be in our squad.”
