Gyokeres’ transfer preference
Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres has told his family where he expects to play next season amid interest from both Arsenal and Manchester United, according to reports.
I had a message 24 hours or so ago suggesting that Viktor Gyokeres has told friends and family he expects to join Arsenal.
We know that Manchester United are interested in signing him as well – obviously there is that pre-existing relationship with Ruben Amorim.
But Arsenal can offer Champions League football, maybe can offer a tilt at the title next season.
Arsenal are juggling both him and Benjamin Sesko, they’ve opened talks with [RB] Leipzig as well.
But at the moment, I would say Gyokeres looks the more likely.

BREAKING: Onana to reject Monaco
Andre Onana plans to reject interest from Monaco to establish himself as the No1 at Manchester United.
The French club have been in touch with the Cameroon goalkeeper’s camp in recent days about a possible move.
However despite a difficult season at Old Trafford, he still wants to prove the doubters wrong.
Ruben Amorim is likely to shake up his goalkeeper options this summer with second choice Altay Bayindir expected to leave.
However his current plan is to keep faith with Onana but buy someone who will put serious pressure on the 29-year-old.
He plans to spend the budget he has got available on other areas of his team – notably on reshaping his forward line.
Meanwhile he will hope Onana can return to the form that persuaded ex boss Erik ten Hag to pay £47 million for him two years ago.
Clubs in Saudi Arabia have also shown interest in Onana but he is determined to fight for his future with United.
Aston Villa’s World Cup winner Emi Martinez is pushing for a move to United and could be available this summer.
Bryan Mbeumo U-turn
Manchester United have reportedly been dealt a transfer blow amid their pursuit of Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo.
Mbeumo appeared to have been prioritising a move to United despite Tottenham’s attempts to reunite him with his former manager Thomas Frank.
But latest reports suggest the winger has made a major U-turn regarding his preference.
According to journalist Duncan Castles, the Cameroon international favours a move to Spurs rather than Man Utd.
The North Londoners can offer the 25-year-old something the Red Devils can’t – and that’s Champions League football.
Tottenham target Semenyo
Tottenham are keeping tabs on Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo during the summer transfer window.
According to The Athletic, Spurs have swooped in for Semenyo after an impressive season.
That would see the North Londoners locking horns with Manchester United who are also interested in the winger.
However, the Cherries rate the Ghana international at about £70million.
