MANCHESTER UNITED have made contact with Eintracht Frankfurt to enter the race for Hugo Ekitike, according to reports.

Liverpool and Chelsea are also thought to be interested in the 22-year-old striker, who has four years left on his deal.

According to Sky Sports, the Red Devils have “made contact” with the Bundesliga side.

It is understood United are exploring the conditions of a potential deal for Ekitike with Frankfurt demanding around £85m (€100m).

It won’t be an easy deal to get over the line with Chelsea also thought to be in the running to sign the French bagsman.

Ekitike, who scored 15 goals and registered eight assists in the league this season, won’t come cheap.

United have already splashed £62.5million on out-and-out No.9 Matheus Cunha, who was formally announced today.
