RASMUS HOJLUND is finally on the verge of securing a move away from Manchester United, according to reports.
The wantaway striker is understood to be closing in on a return to the Serie A.
Football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that Napoli are open to including a mandatory buy clause into a loan agreement for Hojlund which is expected to be worth around £39million.
The clause would be related to appearances, goals and whether they qualify for the Champions League this term.
Should the deal go through, United will have suffered a £33m loss on the striker having signed him from Atalanta for £72m just two years ago.
Reports in Italy have also claimed that former United midfielder Scott McTominay contacted Hojlund in a bid to convince him to make the switch.
Napoli are currently in the market for a new striker with Romelu Lukaku ruled out for a lengthy spell due to a thigh injury.
Hojlund is understood to be one of the club’s priority targets.
