The analyst reported to the likes of Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ralf Rangnick, Erik ten Hag and even current manager Ruben Amorim.

He left the club earlier this year to reunite with Solskjaer at Besiktas in the Turkish Super Lig.

Green has now opened up on his time at the club and his encounters with the managers he worked with.

He has also revealed how Mourinho would demand a host of images for his analysis of opponents.

Green did insist that Mourinho was the one United manager who had the most “aura” out of all of them.

Speaking on The Chris Gill Podcast, he said: “Jose was a visual learner.

“He used to want what he called a ‘photoshop report’ which was 90-100 images of graphical analysis.

“He used to deliver all the tactical meetings himself.

“Jose could watch a video once and remember all the detail, everything

“I’ve never seen someone walk into a room with so much aura and presence.

“He was really, really good at half-time. Really concise and clear. Just excellent.”

Green also insisted that there was plenty to learn from all the managers due to their differing styles and ideas.

But one in particular was Amorim’s predecessor Ten Hag – who was sacked by United in November 2024.

The Dutchman won the FA Cup and League Cup with United but the club’s league form was far from consistent.

Despite this, Green believes that he took on a lot of information from the Dutchman.

He added: “Ten Hag, I learned loads tactically from him.

“Very, very detailed. Sometimes I lost the softer side with him because he was football, football, football all the time.

“I had a lot of face-to-face time with him.”

Ten Hag returned to football in the summer as he was hired by Bayer Leverkusen as the replacement for Xabi Alonso.

But his tenure lasted just two Bundesliga games before he was axed by the club.
