PHIL Foden took no chances on a trip out in his new £400,000 Mercedes G-Wagon – as he left it parked in the middle of two bays in a supermarket car park.
The Manchester City ace paid no attention to the road markings as he dumped his motor across two bays at a Sainsbury’s supermarket close to his home in rural Cheshire.
And while his car attracted admiring glances from fans, his parking definitely needs more work.
A shopper said: “Phil’s car is a thing of beauty, but he should definitely be handed a red card for his parking.
“Either he needs to practice or he’s so worried someone might bang it that he purposely left it across two bays.
“If that’s the case perhaps he should leave it on his drive at home and just look at it rather than turn the engine on.”
Foden, 25, who is an injury doubt for City’s first Premier League game of the season at Wolves on Saturday, only passed his driving test in December 2023.
But it has not stopped the Three Lions midfielder amassing an impressive car collection which includes Mercedes S Class, a Mercedes-AMG GLE 53, a Toyota Vellfire and a BYD Seal electric car.
Foden’s agent was contacted for comment.
