The Los Angeles Lakers have extended head coach JJ Redick ahead of the 2025-26 season, general manager Rob Pelinka said Thursday at Lakers media day.
The Lakers hired Redick last year, signing him to a four-year deal at the time. Redick, now 41, didn’t have previous NBA coaching experience, but he led the Lakers to a 50-32 record and the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.
Los Angeles bowed out to Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the playoffs.
