ROBBIE Fowler has revealed that he has had an operation to remove skin cancer from his face.

The former England striker, 50, revealed the news in a post on social media.

He shared pictures of himself pre and post-operation, and reassured fans he is “all good now”.

He wrote: “Before and After… been a few people lately saying the same thing, go and get those blemishes/spots checked, basal cell carcinoma.

“Caught early thankfully so all good…just need to get a club now.”

Fowler is best known for being a clinical forward in the Premier League, having netted 163 goals.

The former Liverpool and Leeds star also earned 26 caps for the Three Lions during his playing career, scoring seven times.

But Fowler often found himself down the pecking order for England during his career.

The retired striker had to compete with the likes of Alan Shearer, Teddy Sheringham, Ian Wright and Michael Owen.

Fowler went into management since retiring from playing in 2012.

He was last in charge of Saudi outfit Al-Qadsiah but was axed in 2023.
