BAYER LEVERKUSEN have agreed a deal to sign Jarell Quansah from Liverpool for a fee of £30m, according to reports.
Quansah, 22, will sign a contract with the Bundesliga outfit until 2030, but could return to Merseyside in the future thanks to a savvy clause in his deal.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have included a buy-back clause in the defender’s contract that will give them control over the England international’s future should they wish to bring him back to Anfield.
Leverkusen are expected to pay Liverpool an initial £30m fee for Quansah, with £5m worth of potential add-ons also included in the deal.
Quansah, who is currently away with the England U21 squad at the U21 European Championships, featured in 13 Premier League games for Liverpool last season.
