But the fan favourite is already back gracing screens as she makes her return for the anticipated Champions League fixture.

She is back on screen with TNT Sports to bring fans all the action as travelling City look to sink Xabi Alonso‘s struggling XI.

She will be joined by pundits Steven Gerrard, Joleon Lescott and Steve McManaman in Madrid, with Darren Fletcher and Ally McCoist set to offer their expertise on commentary.

Woods, who became a new mum to baby boy Leo in January, gave her fans a scare earlier this week when she suddenly collapsed on camera.

Ian Wright was giving his verdict on the upcoming game when she suddenly fell forward, with Wright and fellow co-host Anita Asante attempting to catch her.

But the 38-year-old quickly fell to the ground in the frightening scene before cameras cut away from the incident.

The cameras switched to a wide shot of the stadium, before ITV went to an ad break.

When the broadcast returned, Woods had been replaced by fellow presenter Katie Shanahan.

She addressed the concerning absence, saying: “As you might have noticed, we don’t have the wonderful Laura Woods.

“She has just been taken ill and is in very good hands.

“We want to assure you that she is doing ok. We all send her our love.”

Woods’ fiance Adam Collard gave an update on the presenter soon after, writing on is social media: “Laura is all ok and with the right people. Thank you for all of your kind messages.”

Woods later broke her silence on the incident, revealing that she was okay, as well as what may have caused the sudden collapse.

“Gosh that was a bit weird.

“Sorry to worry everyone, I’m OK, the wonderful paramedics at Saints have said it’s probably a virus, just need a bit of rest and rehydration.

“I’m really embarrassed that happened on TV, but a big thank you to my colleagues at ITV who have really looked after me tonight.

“And to Wrighty and Neets for catching me, and sorry again x.”
