The clash was due to kick off today at 5:30pm.

But a red weather alert issued for the province of Valencia has led Levante to call the match off.

Tickets purchased for the clash will be valid for the rescheduled fixture – but fans are unable to get a refund if they cannot make it.

Rainfall began in the early hours of Saturday but got worse today, with a “very adverse” situation forecast.

It is expected the rain could last for 36 hours, with thunderstorms throughout.

SMS alerts were sent to residents warning them to take precautions.
