Keyshawn Davis posted on X last night, saying he wants to fight Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz after he picks up the WBO lightweight belt from champion Denys Berinchyk in 12 days on February 14th at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Davis’ Target: Pitbull
If Keyshawn captures the WBO belt, he should try to avenge his four losses to Cuban Andy Cruz instead of picking the 5’4″ ‘Pitbull’ Cruz to fight. Choosing Cruz would have cherry-pick written all over it. There’s little chance that Isaac would agree to fight the massive welterweight-sized Keyshawn because that fight has no money.
The Norfolk, Virginia native Keyshawn has no fanbase outside of his hometown, and many fans view him as a Top Rank-created hype job in the Edgar Berlanga mold. Cruz can make millions fighting Ryan Garcia or Devin Haney in 2026, and he’s not wasting his time fighting a weight bully for chump change.
‘Pitbull’ Cruz’s fight against Angel Fierro (23-3-2, 18 KOs) stole the show last Saturday night with their 10-round war on the undercard of David Benavidez vs. David Morrell at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Cruz won the fight by the scores 98-92, 97-93 and 96-94.
A Dawg vs. Another Dawg
I’m not gonna lie after I get my belt I would love to fight Isaac Cruz. He a dawg & I’m a dawg would be a great fight.💪🏾

The 2020 Olympic silver medalist Keyshawn (12-0, 8 KOs) didn’t say whether he expects Isaac Cruz (27-3-1, 18 KOs) to come down to 135 like his last opponent, Gustavo Lemos.
Rather than picking an opponent from the lightweight division, like Andy Cruz or Edwin De Los Santos, Keyshawn selected light welterweight Lemos, who was coming off a loss to Richardson Hitchins.
The Money Fight
Keyshawn looked bad last week, saying in an interview that he’s not interested in fighting Andy Cruz again unless it “makes sense” financially. He’s more interested in winning the WBO belt from the 36-year-old Berinchyk on February 14th and then using it to try and lure Gervonta Davis into fighting him for big money.
