JUDE BELLINGHAM has shared an update from the hospital after undergoing major surgery.

The Real Madrid and England star, 22, went into hospital in London for a procedure on a shoulder injury this Wednesday.

It is an issue he has been managing since 2023, but delayed surgery to prioritise commitments with both club and country.

And the midfielder has now shared an update on how he is doing.

He shared a picture of himself in a hospital gown while lying on his back in a bed.

But most noticeably, his arm was held in a sling.

He said: “Thank you to Andrew Wallace & Susan Alexander, their team and everyone at Fortius Clinic for the surgery and hospitality.

“To Ivan Ortega and Dr Leyes for travelling to support.

“And finally, to everyone else for all the well wishes and messages of love.

“The process to come back has already started, see you soon.”

Bellingham is now expected to miss between 10-12 weeks of action.

That means he is not likely to feature until October for Xabi Alonso’s team in the coming season.

He joined Los Blancos in 2023 from Borussia Dortmund for an initial £88.5m and potentially rising to £114m.

In his first two seasons, the former Birmingham star has played 100 games, scoring 28 goals and adding 28 assists.

He was particularly crucial in his first year when he helped Real Madrid win La Liga and the Champions League.

Bellingham has also now played 44 times for England, scoring six goals.

But his recovery means he will be out of Thomas Tuchel’s plans for the September international break.
