Sinner, 24, was defeated by Novak Djokovic, 38, in a semi-final epic.

His Serbian opponent went on to lose the final to Carlos Alcaraz.

But Sinner has already bounced back with a return to Europe.

After jetting in from Down Under, the Italian headed straight home for the Winter Olympics.

This year’s event is taking place in Milan.

And Sinner managed to bag himself a brilliant niche role to help the tournament run smoothly.

Amazing video footage on social media showed the tennis ace working as a train ticket inspector.

Sinner, an ambassador for the Winter Olympics, helped punters make sure they were heading to the right destination.

He lined up alongside Paralympic fencing champion Bebe Vio for the fun gig.

And Sinner, who used to ski as a child, appeared to be loving life as a volunteer worker.

However, the ace will not be present for tonight’s opening ceremony at the San Siro.

He is instead set to head to the Middle East for the Qatar Open.

Sinner is keen to ensure his training standards do not slip.

And with Aussie Open rival Djokovic also taking part, Sinner will have to be at his very best to claim victory.
