Jamie Carragher breaks silence on Mo Salah’s bombshell claim Liverpool want him out

JAMIE CARRAGHER has launched a blistering attack on Mo Salah following the Liverpool star’s bombshell rant.

Salah, 33, launched a stunning rant after being left on the bench during the Reds’ 3-3 draw at Leeds on Saturday.

During his tirade, which has seen him dropped entirely for Liverpool’s upcoming clash with Inter Milan, the winger mentioned former Red Carragher.

The Kop superstar said: “I’m sorry, I know the club too well. I’ve been here many years.

“So tomorrow you’re going to find Carragher is going to go for me again, again, again. That’s fine.”

Responding on Sky Sports, Carra said: “I thought it was a disgrace what he did after the game.

“Some people have painted it as an emotional outburst, I do not think it was.

“I think whenever Mo Salah stops in the mixed zone, which he’s done four times in eight years at Liverpool it’s choreographed between him and his agent to cause maximum damage and to strengthen his own position.”

The defender-turned-pundit has not been shy in criticising Salah.

Earlier this season, Carragher said on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football: “On the back of all these Liverpool defeats, it’s always Van Dijk who comes out and speaks. The captain should do that but there should be other players in that dressing room and speaking for the club.

“A year ago this weekend, Mo Salah wasn’t shy in speaking about his own situation and the club not offering him a contract.

“I only ever hear Salah speak when he gets man of the match or when he needs a new contract.

“I would like to see Salah as one of the leaders and legends of Liverpool come out and speak for the team.”

The Liverpool icon has been on the bench for the Reds’ last three Prem matches.

Salah played 45 minutes of the 1-1 draw with Sunderland, in between being left unused at West Ham and Leeds.

His last start came in the 4-1 Champions League defeat to PSV Eindhoven on November 26.

The Anfield ace has four goals in 14 Prem outings this term, with one strike in five Champions League appearances.

On his shock at his current situation, Salah sensationally said on Saturday: “I’m sitting on the bench for 90 minutes, I think that’s the third time I’m on the bench.

“I think it’s the first time in my career but I’m very disappointed. I’m very, very disappointed to be fair.

The club has thrown me under the bus

Mo Salah

“I have done so much for this club, everybody can see that during the years and especially last season.

“Sitting on the bench, I don’t know why, it seems like the club has thrown me under the bus. That’s how I feel it. I think it’s very clear that someone wants me to get all the blame.

“The club promised me in the summer for a lot of promises and nothing. So far, I’m on the bench three games.

“So I can’t say that they keep the promise. I said that many times before, I had a good relationship with the manager and all of a sudden we don’t have any relationship.

“I don’t know why. It seems to me, how I see it, that someone doesn’t want me in the club.”
