JADON SANCHO and Harvey Elliott signed on loan for Aston Villa to revamp Unai Emery’s woeful attack.

The deal for Liverpool playmaker Elliott, 22, will become permanent for £35million next summer.

Villa are also paying 80 PER CENT of Sancho’s £200,000-a-week wages.

The percentage of the loan fee Villa will pay will increase depending on how well Sancho, for whom they’ve shelled out a loan fee, performs.

The signings are a big boost for boss Emery, with Villa the only team in England’s top four leagues yet to score a goal.

Sancho, 25, had turned down Roma in the window and was also a target for Juventus and Besiktas.

United were keen to offload the England star after Chelsea paid them  £5m for NOT fulfilling their agreement to sign him after last term’s loan spell.

Emery is a big Sancho fan and it is thought the player spoke to ex-Villans loan ace Marcus Rashford about the club.

A snippet of a Villa statement confirming Sancho’s arrival read: “Aston Villa is delighted to announce the signing of Jadon Sancho from Manchester United.

“The England international joins Villa on a season-long loan.”

Elliott, also a target for RB Leipzig, should provide some creativity in attack.

Villa also landed ex-Red Devils centre-back Victor Lindelof, 31, on a free.

Villa are currently 19th in the Premier League table following back-to-back defeats to Brentford and Crystal Palace.

Emery’s revamped squad will be back in action a week on Saturday, travelling to the Hill Dickinson Stadium to take on Everton.
