The Cincinnati Bengals will square off against the Pittsburgh Steelers in a pivotal AFC North showdown on Saturday in Week 18. Cincinnati must defeat Pittsburgh on the road to keep their playoff hopes alive, and the team hopes star wide receiver Tee Higgins will be able to play in this crucial game.
Higgins has dealt with a few injuries this season and has been a frequent name on the injury report throughout the year. The 25-year-old was a limited participant in practice all week with an ankle and knee injury and was listed as questionable to play.
Here’s the latest update on Higgin’s status for the Saturday night game that the Bengals need to win in order to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Tee Higgins injury update
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported on Friday that Higgins should be “good to go” for Saturday versus the Steelers. Fowler added that the Bengals are “optimistic” that Higgins is trending in the right direction.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport also gave us some updates on Higgins, stating that the 2020 second-round pick is expected to play Saturday night. Rapoport also gave us an update on running back Chase Brown’s status. Brown didn’t practice all week after being diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain after Cincinnati’s Week 17 victory over the Denver Broncos.
“While Tee Higgins is expected to play tonight, Bengals RB Chase Brown will work out pre-game while attempting to play,” Rapoport reported. “Brown did participate in the walk-through on Friday, which can be a good sign.”
